I weave illusion as yarn... « Result #2 on Oct 22, 2007, 10:41am »
Character Name: Shadow Spinner Breed: Baroque Horse of Mixed Origin Gender: Stallion Alliance: Son of Cronous Personality: He was once a son of Airion so he is very good at faking it. He loves to play the "tortured good guy framed as a baddie" and will often befriend the sons of Airion and daughters of Athena just to crush their hope and betray them before killing them. Even to his own side, he will lie as soon as look at you, and he often goes off by himself to come up with elaborate schemes. For the few cruel and twisted enough to interest him, he is always very quiet; simply because he trusts no one, not even himself. Some say he is going insane with so many lies, but he knows better. He is not insane. -shifty eyes- Or, at least, that's what he tells himself. Characters History: No one knows that much, he makes sure of that. He likes to spread illusion around his history, glorifying himself and making legend out of the rather dull reality. Actually, everything was really quite different from his tales. As a foal, his curiosity got him captured by two-leggers. When he was three suns old, a saddle was thrown o'er his back and he was mounted. Naturally, as with all horses' first rides, he went psycho. Not being a very strong bucker, it was only luck that let him get his rider off. Unfortunately, his luck ended there. As the rider flew off, he threw out a kick to the back in good spirits and happened to catch the man in the head, killing him. The others watching were enraged and, tieing him to a post, beat him bloody. They let him go, thinking he would perish in the dry desert. Again, his luck returned, and he found his way to this new land, but his heart was turned cold as his blood dried on his coat and eventually washed away, leaving less scars on his pelt than on his mind.

Example post : I'll put two, because I'm not quite sure which style I'll end up using.
Me using my fancy-muse: The masculine stood on silently as the vix went through a quite strange process; going from quitetly listening to him, to worry, to almost crying, to being quite fine again. What an odd fae! He was just priding himself on dwelling on the fact that he would never make a mistake as to showing emotion to a stranger; when he made his little slip up.
Getting somewhat jumpy in this strange new land of darkness and despair, Ammar kept feeling prone to bolting. Perhaps not so much as what might be out there, but more what was he had said right here. The perfectly sculpted splashed mare 'fore him hadn't seemed to notice him, he hoped. He wouldn't be able to bear it had one more looked at him through despising eyes; eyes that thought they knew what had happened. His reputation had always preceded him where ever he went; he had always been shunned and looked at with distain, except for this place. Except for Avatrai. He had come here to escape, not a beast, but his own past. Even his name stirred up too many bitter memories to repeat that often. He watched the femme's eyes carefully, for they would tell whether he had been heard or not...
And he saw it. That glint of hate; the glitter of mistrust she had unknowingly mirrored in every other set of glassy pools he had seen whenever those words were known. Her next words bit into him like a mortal blow. You wouldn't be the first I've met, she muttered, making him sway and stagger. Even the voice of sarcasm in his head was too stunned to do anything but shut up, for the first time in many, many long years. Everything he had worked for; to forget about those horrid events, to make a new life for himself, suddenly fell apart as his memories came gushing back to him like a river exploding a dam that was his sanity.
No, please, don't hurt him! the vix had screamed. A crack wrenched through the air, along with a strangled sob of a quine's dying screech.
Again he mouthed the words so familiar, the words voiced so many times since that horrible day. What have I done? he whispered. Then, more to himself to the vix, he began to make feeble excuses that he knew wouldn't really help anything. It was the last defence he had, the only grasp of sanity he had left, the defence that had held himself up over eight long years... It wasn't really my fault, I didn't mean to, she just sort of, jumped out, he stuttered quite unconvincingly. His words were true, however, he hadn't meant to murder his dam. He had been in a fight with his sire, and he had won. He reared over his father's fallen, but still living body, aiming not quite to kill but more to maim and to remind. But the defeated brute's lover had ran out, placing herself between him and her son, begging for mercy. Being part draft and not particularly nimble, he hadn't been able to stop himself. He had landed square on the femme's back, snapping it. The worst part was that she had lived. For minutes that seemed like an eternity, she had survived, writhing and screaming. That scream had implanted itself in the stag's mind, and he still woke up near every night sweating, with that scream still ringing in his mind.
Returning only ever-so-slightly to the real world, he returned his vision to the pie in front of him. He couldn't have run if he had wanted to. His feet were planted to the ground, feathers brushing it as if they were roots themselves. His entire bodice sagged, and his eyes were close to tears. As he stared over at the gravestones, barely seeing, those graves weren't quite as frightful. Rather, they were quite a bit more appealing. He was sure he was going to lose his sanity this time...
Me using my slightly more worn-out muse: Moonbird strode in to this new land, her icy blue eyes taking in not the land, but the sky. The stars glittered and twinkled in every spare space available in the night sky; so many they seemed to push and shove to find enough room to shine. The silvery-grey light cast an eerie glow on the mare's pelt; playing with her fur and leaving it looking quite ghost-like. She floated rather than trotted, her unkempt mane flowing and pulsing with every beat. A full moon lit her path. The color of my coat, and the color of my name, she thought as the moon beat down on her from overhead. But not the color of my past. Not the color of my soul. She did not know quite the color of either of those things; sometimes she thought she belonged dead for her treachery, but the more she reasoned with herself, the more the color just turned to be a murky grey. So here she was, in this strange land, trying to tinge that unknown just a little bit lighter. But she still could not bear the thought of being some place happy and merry, with horses around her that had never known the taste of sorrow or regret. She still loathed much company, and did not look forward to what horse her whinny would bring. She knew, however, that she needed the aid of other horses to live; for she was still weak from her travels. ******* Shaking herself from her thoughts, she lifted her head and whinnied; hoping her tone had not come out too inviting.
And, yes, I will enjoy a chocolate muffin. My compliments to the chef!

On this role play game I forbid any types of spamming; this meaning plugging your site, posting it etc. (Though if you are desperate you may message etc.)
By all means apply for affiliation (I don't bite!) and I will gladly post your link at the bottom of the page. I guess in effect that is generally advertising, but affiliating sounds cooler. ^_^
I have just said this because all to often I have had games which have become over-run with spam.

Special Characters and Rules « Result #5 on Oct 16, 2006, 2:25pm »
The following rules and characters only apply if you challenge or are offered the position
I created these roles so that people who put in a lot of effort into this game can be 'rewarded' for doing so.
Lord Stallion
Ahhh the big boss of them all ...
To be a lord means responsibility; it is possibly on of the highest privileges is the whole game. A lord Stallion is basically the Stallion who lives in the palace grounds, and rules over the Kingdom so you therefore have a northern, southern western and eastern Lord - simple enough.
You MUST be:
- An Active Player - A good role player - Accept responsibility and be able to play fairly
A Lord Stallion can;
- Rule over the whole Kingdom - Banish accordingly - Force breed any mare - Have unlimited mares - Control other players under his rule - Use Abiding horses for his dirty work (yes we like slavery on this game. =] ) For example should you be the son of Cronous you may exclude those who are allied with Airion and / or Athena. - Can steal mares from other Kingdoms - Declare war - Reinforce unique rules that you feel fit. - Able to halt a steal - Accept a Challenge
Additional features to your signature will be about your status and Kingdom etc.
Lead Lady / Queen
- Are able to control other mares under their rule / command - Must accept a challenge (you can challenge other mares aswell.) - Are able to stop a steal - Reinforce rules set by the stallion / Lord
!!MUST BE ACTIVE!!
Additional features to signature can include your status
Banishing
If you are banished from a kingdom (or you run away) you will not be welcome back and will risk your life.
If you run away or are banished you can either continue your life as a wanderer, meaning that you cannot live in a herd and may be subject to many battles or rapes (if you are a mare), or you can try to get yourself accepted into another kingdom but you will have to gain acceptance from the lord.
Don't take it to personally if you are banished, it might just be for the fun of a game but if there is a problem you will be warned first.
Plot Characters
These characters are only avaliable via application and these applications will be posted. They are basically roles which are used to add more 'drama' to you role playing. Such characters could include men, ferral cats, weather etc. If you have any ideas aswell don't hesitate to message either a member of staff or myself.
The 'I can't be bothered to read it all guide' « Result #6 on Aug 5, 2006, 3:39am »
I am aware that all the rules are kind of confusing but believe me that once you get into the game its like eating. (Unless you have no jaw or mouth in which case eating would be very hard.)
Anyways back to the point this guide titled; The if you can't be bothered to read it all guide' will possibly be able to clear the air and help you out.
So the basic story is that horses fell out with man and had a big battle. There were only four surviviors who were free - Airion, Athena, Cronous and Hydra. Cronous and Hydra began to want more power and became greedy angering the other equines thus meaning seperation into the bloodlines.
So the aim of the game is to have all four thrones occupied by the same bloodline at one time meaning the game will restart into what will be Cimmaron Falls Version two. Great fun, but you understand it will never just be as simple as that. Well not with me anyway.
Alliances
No doubt many of you have played one of the light vs. dark sort of games, you know the basic good against evil. I was quick to grow tired of this because it seemed that this strong band of separation stopped all the mayhem, and I like may Mayhem. tehe.
So on this game I wanted to tweak it slightly. I still have the basic good against evil thing but it has changed a little. I have made it so that the two 'sides' live together and in some cases under the others rule.
Ok so the names of these alliances are;
A son of Cronous or a Daughter of Hydra, which if you like is the 'Dark / Evil side'
and
A son of Airion or a Daughter of Athena, which in essence are the good guys.
And for those who like to go deep into the roots of this you have to understand that here we are not all inbreds, its just a fancy title to make it sound and look cool.
Your Characters Status
I like to reward people, when it doesn't cost me money lol. So again my tweaking has extended to that element of my mind. For so long I have watched all these amazing role players writing like screens of writing and being with this sort of thing ....
Fred looked at the other horse and snorted. He didn't like him.
I mean what on earth is that about!?
I know I am not an outstanding or very good role player but when I reply I do try to make an effort but saying that it doesn't half make me mad when I see that sort of crap going on. So here I have made a strict applying rule so it singles out and exterminates those sort of people, I like to call myself the terminator.
Back on track and rewards. Yes So for all those hard working roleplayers I have created the game to allow yourself a higher role thus meaning more power to you as a player.
However to be at the top of your game you must be a friend to challenges, battles and wars. I will say no more.
Battle and War Rules « Result #7 on Jun 11, 2006, 1:08pm »
Basic Battle Rules
If you wish to challenge / steal / claim or anything else along those lines these are the following guide lines you MUST use. (Applies to all battles from all characters)
- Make a post notifying the opposing player of your intentions - The opposite player must accept your challenge or forfeit whatever the matter is. - Fights are judged by staff and on the role playing skill involved. - You have five posts each. You can either attack or defend and you must allow yourself to be hit at least once. - Only the two equines involved are able to post and this should only be in role play.
If the opponent does not reply within seven days, without given reason, in any aspect of the fight you will automatically win.
War Rules
If it is decided that two opposing Kingdoms will go to war the following will need to occur. (Both Mares and Stallion can take part)
- The Lord (and only the Lord) will make a post in the opposing kingdom revealing his intentions.
- Each side will then have 1 week to decide among them five players who will be involved in the war. These names will then be forwarded to me.
- Once I have received each I will write down the names from each side and split up. I will then pick out one from each pile and they will be the pair fighting each other. There will be five rounds in all.
For example:
Kingdom One:
Fred Bob George Spot Star
Kingdom two:
Bella Dusty Romeo Damien Reggie
So above we have the two teams ... I will then write down the names within each team and place in two piles then draw put one from each. So we will have the five rounds.
Round One : George vs. Dusty Round Two : Bob vs. Romeo Round Three: Star vs. Reggie Round Four: Fred vs. Damien Round Five: Spot vs. Bella
These will then continue as a normal fight and will be judged by staff. A war is won by which ever Kingdom had the most victories.
When Applying you are required to use the following form.
By doing so the staff can record how many characters there are and such stuff like that.
WARNING : Those who start to play without applying first will automatically be issued with a warningand should the ignorance of that occur they will be deleted, REGARDLESS!! You must be accepted first.
On a lighter note here is the form that you are required to fill in :
Character Name: Breed: Gender: Alliance: Son of / Daughter of Personality: Characters History:
Are you new to role play : YES / NO
Example post : This is predominantly what you will be judged on and it can be based on anything - wild horse wise. Be warned though your standards throughout this game (should you be accepted) must keep up to the one written here or above as to keep the quality of the game high.
You are expected on this game to play to a decent standard, now this doesn't mean the length of post it means the quality, (so don't be put off by that,) so as long as you show that you have put effort in your post you are sure to be accepted.
So enjoy a chocolate muffin or whatever once you have applied and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
Just for reference, this is NOT a 'claimence' post so I want no other replies apart from those issued by staff.
The Present « Result #10 on May 16, 2006, 1:19pm »
At present the world of Cimmaron Falls is divided into four main Kingdoms; The North, East, South and West.
When You start you will be placed in one, this will be decided at random and from that point you may not change. Of course you may visit other Kingdoms but you must remain in the assigned place under whatever rule there is, whether you like it or not. This means that your Lord or Lady may either believe in the ways of Hydra, Athena, Airion or Cronous and thus meaning you will have to abide unless you decide to defend your rights and challenge their place on the throne or on the contrary defend it.
Your Kingdom
Once placed you will have to make a post in the Palace grounds, this is the area where the Lord and his lead Lady and mares live. He will meet with you and either claim you himself or leave you for other stallions under his reign. Remember that because he is the, lets call it, Big Boss, of everything at any moment he can take you or force breed etc. Whatever happens everyone living in the Kingdom are to obey less they challenge or dare to face the consequences.
The Big boss is in charge of everything even to the point of how many mares each stallion can have. To find out more about the role of the Lord Stallion and other Characters visit the board named ' the basic commandments.'
So once your position is decided you must go with whichever stallion has claimed you from there on you will live in his land alongside his other mares... if he has them and himself. Every day will be a challenge, with different aspects and more of a wild horses life, whether that be the destruction of natural disasters or war declared upon rivals.
Your Life
To put it simply your life will never, NEVER be easy. I have designed this game to be challenging and engaging so if that means constant torture of your character so be it. Though I must add that do remember it is a game and the main thing is to have fun; don't get stressed like me lol.
Your Objective
The overall objective of this game is to have all four Kingdoms ruled by a Lord (and Queen) of the same descending blood whether that be the blood of Cronous and Hydra or Airion and Athena.
